Must have experience and certifications for Crestron, Biamp, Qsys, Extron, and other manufacturers with field experience of at least 5 years. Qualifications:
- Must be self-motivated, positive, and organized individual
- Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to read and write clear and concise updates.
- Must have a high level of ability to interpret system design, blueprints, and other project documents
- Must be able to travel within the territory as needed
- Must align with the company core values and be able to portray these values daily and teach others how to incorporate them into their job roles.
- Must have 5+ years of commercial AV installation experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365
- Must be proficient in basic networking and configuration of network switches
- Must have demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot complex AV systems for Crestron/Qsys/Extron/etc.
- Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate system signal flow and performance of efficiently tracking system bugs
- Must have demonstrated ability to utilize industry standard software from manufacturer’s HCLV currently sells
- Highly technical with the ability to evaluate situations, utilizing logical and decisive reasoning
- Excellent Attention to detail and well organized
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Ability to take initiative regularly finding ways to avoid problems proactively rather than just fixing them after the fact
Core Responsibilities
- The AV Field Engineer shall excel in Commercial AV system understanding, troubleshooting, and reasoning.
- Commissioning, testing, and training of complex AV systems
- Troubleshooting complex AV systems quickly and efficiently
- Make minor programming changes under the guidance of the engineer or programmer
- Read and edit control system code for Qsys, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, and other industry standard manufacturers
- Understand and setup advanced network configurations for AV systems
- Work with client’s IT staff to ensure proper network configurations are in place for proposed AV systems
- In-Shop Testing, rack building and other pre installation processes
- Fine tune AV systems to ensure optimal performance
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and certifications in the field
- Provide excellent customer service
Daily Job Duties
- Perform onsite service calls with full write up provided to the PM at close of service ticket
- Utilize project management software for daily updates to PM
- Create IP spreadsheet and testing documentation for projects
- Perform onsite training for end user
- Perform shop testing on all required projects
- Work directly with Programmer or Engineer to make onsite changes to DSP and control system software
- Onsite commissioning of advanced AV systems
- Complete closeout documentation such as testing reports, As-Builts, source code, pictures, training materials to PM at project completion
- Provide top-level technical support for field technicians on-site troubleshooting
- Assist in mentorship and growth of others within the company
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with HCLV Core Values
Hours, Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours most weeks and occasionally 45-50 hours. Shifts begin at 8am and end around 4pm – 530pm.
This position has an hourly base + bonus based on company financial performance. Additional earnings are based on the company’s performance and are paid out quarterly.
Health Benefits are paid at 75% for employees for an Anthem Insurance plan which includes dental and vision. 10 days of PTO, plus your birthday and holidays.
